Create

I have completed 2 out of 6 pages of my website. All of them have the same theme so 2 pages seems efficient.

Home Page -

Health & Safety Page -

Peer Pressure Page -

Plan Evaluation #3

I added word art to each page header because it looks more attractive and they now stand out more. I have attached hyperlinks to each header which will transfer you to the page. I have began my peer pressure web page. So far I have added the logo and banner.

Plan Evaluation #2

My website looked too plain so i decided to add logos next to each page header. I also added bold fonts for the subtitles on the pages.
The web page looks more appealing now but i am thinking of changing the background color. I need also begin creating my third page as I am running out of time.

Plan Evaluation

I have kept up to date with my planning. I have completed everything on time and followed the gant chart. All I've had problems with is that I'm running on short time for completing my actual website. I have 6 pages to create and I've only create 2. This is because i missed an entire 2 lessons due to my vaccination. Its also been a pain because i do not have Dreamweaver on my laptop at home, so the only way i can complete my work is in the IT room.

Plan - Gant Chart

Questionare

I went around my class asking them different questions about my 2 designs so I could decide on which one I should create for my final piece. There were 4 questions asked, in 3 of them design 1 got the most votes but for having better colors design 2 got the most votes. I have decided to use design 1 but use the colors for design 2 as it is what got everyone’s attention.

Design Task

Home Page Design 1:

Colours- Yellow, Black & Grey
For my first design I decided to put all my pages in a row at the top so its clear for the viewers. I chose to put them in capitals because when you read capitals it feels more intense and all these topics are very serious and nothing to joke around about. Every home page needs an introduction paragraph to inform the viewers what the website they are on is advertising and what is exactly about. I chose to put 4 pictures to attract viewers as the homepage is the first page they will see. I chose the colours black, yellow and grey because yellow represents happy and black and grey represent sad. So I have the main emotions of teenagers expressed through the colour of my website.

Home Page Design 2:

Colours: Grey, Black & White
For my second design I have all the pages listed in a column on the side. There is an introduction paragraph on the left side of the page so viewers know the reason for this website. The two pictures under it will be of happy teenagers as the aim of the website is to help solve teen problems. There will be another paragraph on the right side of the page explaining why this organisation was set up which will attract the viewers. The colours grey, black and white were chosen because black and white are opposite colours and then when mixing both together it creates grey. In the end all of them are just colours, and it is the same with teenagers and their problems. If a guy is amazing at sports, one guy is okay and one guy is terrible in the end they are just all guys meaning no one is better than the other.

I have decided to have the same theme for every page to represent that all pages are linked to the same topic 'teenage problems'.

INVESTIGATION

Area Of Interaction: Health & Social Education

1. The various ways the world wide web could be used as an advertising tool is through googles ads, YouTube, social media, banners, slogans, pop ups and websites.

2. One real life issue that needs to be advertised on the webs is problems teenagers go through.

3. The topics that will be mentioned are health, safety, peer pressure and bullying.

4. I know many teenagers who have been pressured into doing things they would have never thought of doing before but do it just to try and ‘fit in’. These people would generally begin to feel uncomfortable around their so called friends. So creating a website where teens could talk about their experiences and problems would be very useful.  Also, nowadays teenagers think it is normal to take in things that are harmful to their bodies like smoking. This happens all over Dubai, and some people force others into doing it. Sometimes people just think that they will just try it out and then without themselves knowing they become addicted. Bullying is a very important topic as this happens not just with teenagers but with adults and children too. Some people feel more superior to others causing them to be saying rude things or physically hurt another person. With teenagers there is also a huge problem with cyber bullying as technology is a big part of this generation; it is used for nearly everything. Cyberbullying mainly occurs on websites like ask.fm and they are worse when they come anonymously.

7. For this project we will be using Dreamweaver as it lets you create a website from scratch and upload it to the internet.
